Wes Simpson Photography: A Premier creative photography service based in North West England. Although we travel we operate out of Liverpool Merseyside, Skelmersdale / Ormskirk and Wigan Lancahsire.

About Wes:

For as long as he can remember, Wes has had a creative eye which led to him obtaining a degree in Art and Communication studies. Graduating from University he had a brief spell working for a Liverpool photography studio before his passion for photography was successfully coupled with his desire to travel, obtaining employment for the worlds largest cruise line – Carnival as on board photographer.

Returning home he gained employment as a camera trainee for the BBC on television Drama productions, he initially made tea and held ladders, never at the same time. Suddenly he was staff on Channel 4’s Brookside before the show got axed resulting in a successful freelance career working on a wide mix of productions including Channel 4's Hollyoaks and Shameless, feature films 51st State and Alfie as well as many TV documentaries and music videos including U2 Uncovered and Morrissey Live for ITV.

Before one day discovering with some confusion that he was wearing 2nd hat as a Assistant Director/ Floor manager on the production of over 20 TV commercials and music videos for multi nationals including Vodafone and Cadbury, TBC (Beckhams Japan TV Ad's) and music videos for McFly, Atomic Kitten and the Zutons.

Here the story changes as Wes changes career gaining employment for over 4 years for Opera Star Russell ‘the voice’ Watson (music hall of fame top 20 biggest selling artist of the century) travelling the globe with him taking reportage style pictures and promotional shots for clients web site (High lights include photographing client with President Bush at the White House, Pope John Paul II, Prince Charles and the King and Queen of Malaysia, involvment in two world tours and many high profile client TV apperances and performances around the world including CNN Larry King Live, ITV Elvis Mania and the Beckhams world cup party).

Surprised to find his work is not helping his career or social life a jot, he becomes disillusioned. Alone in New York he decides to turn his back on his ‘celebrity life style’.

Disillusioned he returns home and is asked to photograph a couple of friends weddings and finds that people really like his pictures.

In 2006 Wes set up www.wessimpsonphotography.co.uk and takes pictures for Brides and Grooms, corporate organisations, family portraits, model portfolios and anything else people ask of him.

2007 the Local Press and www.thebestof.co.uk/Liverpool wrote a featured artical stating 'With his impressive CV, creative vision and sexy photography Wes Simpson is fast becoming the 'most have photographer' in the North West'!

Wes, loves movies – DeNiro and Pacino, like cups of tea, doesn’t like fish, bad manners/customer service.

He loves to capture ‘the moment’ may it be a turn, a glance, a slight smile or something much more important to that particular person. He loves that a single shot can capture a million words and evoke even more memories from the hairdo’s we once thought to be so cool to the old friends, places and memories we thought we left behind!
